Some useful tips for our Clients
Over our history, we’ve partaken in a number of successful partnerships with a wide-range of businesses and industries. Despite their organisational differences, key factors are shared across these businesses:
How to brief a sourcing partner effectively.
The quality of your brief directly shapes the quality of your outcome. A strong brief goes beyond a basic product description; it should include your target price point, required quantities, key materials or specifications, compliance requirements, and any packaging or labelling needs. The more context you provide upfront, the faster we can identify the right suppliers and avoid costly revisions down the line. Don't worry if you don't have every detail finalised; our team will work with you to fill in the gaps. But the clearer your starting point, the sharper your results.
Why transparency matters in Sourcing and Procurement
Sourcing across international markets involves a great deal of complexity, factory capacity, lead times, pricing pressures, and compliance requirements can all shift quickly. Clients who are open about their budgets, timelines, and business priorities allow us to make better decisions on their behalf. Equally, we believe in being straightforward with you: if there's a risk, a delay, or a better alternative available, you'll hear it from us directly. A culture of openness is what turns a transactional relationship into a long-term partnership for growth.
The Role of Client Feedback in Product Development
Sampling is one of the most important stages of the sourcing process, and your feedback at this point is critical. Timely, specific comments on pre-production samples allow us to address issues before bulk production begins, saving time, cost, and the frustration of receiving goods that don't meet expectations. We encourage clients to review samples against their original brief in detail and flag any concerns, however minor they may seem. Small adjustments at the sampling stage are always far simpler to resolve than corrections after a production run.
Why Experience Matters When Selecting a Sourcing Company
Not all sourcing companies are equal. On-the-ground presence, established supplier relationships, and a proven track record in quality and compliance are not things that can be replicated quickly. When you work with an experienced partner like ET2C, you benefit from 25 years of supplier vetting, market knowledge across China, India, Vietnam and Turkey, and a team of over 200 colleagues that has seen and solved the full range of challenges that international procurement can present. Experience means fewer surprises, faster problem-solving, and ultimately better value for your business.

Frequently Asked Questions
Global sourcing services help businesses find, develop, and manufacture products overseas by managing supplier selection, quotations, sampling, production follow-up, quality control, and shipment coordination. Delivering execution onthe ground, managing quality and compliance and wider supply partner risk

ET2C works with clients to source and manufacture products from Asian suppliers with full visibility and trusted partnerships, managing supplier selection, development, production coordination, quality control, and shipment support.
An Asian sourcing partner supports sourcing across multiple Asian markets (not just one country), helping businesses align suppliers and locations to an overall sourcing strategy as needs change.
Choice depends on product type, capability, lead times, quality expectations, supplier capacity, and risk profile. Many businesses compare options across countries to build a stronger overall sourcing strategy.
Full visibility reduces surprises by keeping product specs, timelines, quality checkpoints, and production progress clear—so buyers can make decisions before shipment. Removing risk and cost with quality and compaince checking at factory
Common stages include raw material checks, in-line inspections during production, final inspection before shipment, and loading inspection to confirm goods match what’s being shipped.
ET2C states it provides quotations from at least three suppliers so clients can compare options and choose the best fit.
FOB (Free On Board) means the supplier delivers goods to the port and loads them for export; responsibility typically transfers once the goods are on board the vessel.
It’s assessing requirements: supplier expectations, product needs, and what support is required. This enables a clear critical path and smoother execution.
A critical path is the step-by-step plan and timeline from requirement definition through sampling, approvals, production, inspection, and shipment.
Multiple quotes help compare pricing, capacity, lead times, and quality confidence—so the decision is based on best overall fit, not just the lowest price.
PP (pre-production) sample sign-off is approval of a final sample before bulk production. It reduces risk by confirming specifications and expectations before large quantities are made.
ET2C has teams on the ground in China, Vietnam, Turkey and India, while also looking for opportunities in other Asian markets to align with a client’s overall sourcing strategy.
