As we face into what looks like being another year of complexity and turmoil in global trade and strategic sourcing, there are some countries that warrant rapid and in-depth exploration as part of global sourcing and procurement strategies. In machinery and industrial products where traditionally offshore supply routes may have looked to China the opportunity that is developing in Türkiye cannot be ignored.
De-Risk your Global Sourcing by adding Turkiye to your Supply chain
Derisking supply chain positions in China fully or adding additional supply routes to allow flexibility in sourcing and procurement will allow companies to mitigate risk in their supply chains. As we get more clarity on the impacts to global trade from tariffs and geo-politics. The need for margin defence, supply security and shortening supply routes will be bring increase focus on Turkiye.
Turkey with its strategically important location between Europe and Asia has been a global trade hub for over 1,500 years. A population of over 80m people and land borders with 8 countries give it many geographical benefits. Turkiye has strong Free Trade agreements in place with Europe and the ability to use Air, Sea, Road and Rail links to supply clients make it ideally placed as supply chain partner.
