About the Role

ET2C International is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Amazon Operations Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management, optimisation and growth of our Amazon marketplace operations.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience across Amazon Seller Central, listing optimisation, advertising, inventory planning, FBA operations, data analysis, account health and marketplace growth.

This is a practical, performance-driven role requiring someone who can independently manage Amazon operations while working closely with sourcing, procurement, supply chain, creative and management teams.

The role will initially focus on Amazon operations across the US and European marketplaces, with responsibility for supporting international cross-border e-commerce growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Amazon Store & Listing Optimisation

  • Independently manage and continuously optimise Amazon stores and product listings.
  • Conduct detailed keyword and competitor research to identify opportunities for increased visibility, traffic and conversion.
  • Create and optimise:
    • Product titles
    • Bullet points
    • Product descriptions
    • Backend search terms
    • A+ Content
    • Brand Store content
    • Product images
    • Product videos
  • Ensure listings follow Amazon marketplace requirements, brand guidelines and SEO best practices.
  • Monitor listing performance and continuously test and improve content to increase conversion rates.
  • Work closely with creative teams to plan and develop product photography, graphics, infographics, videos and other visual assets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product positioning, customer experience and overall page quality.

2. Amazon Advertising & Promotional Strategy

  • Develop and implement monthly and quarterly Amazon advertising strategies and budgets.
  • Independently manage Amazon advertising campaigns, including:
    • Sponsored Products (SP)
    • Sponsored Brands (SB)
    • Sponsored Display (SD)
  • Build and structure campaigns and ad groups based on product objectives, keywords, audience targeting and commercial priorities.
  • Conduct keyword research, search-term analysis and negative keyword optimisation.
  • Manage bids, budgets, placements and targeting strategies.
  • Analyse advertising performance using key metrics including:
    • ACOS
    • TACOS
    • ROAS
    • CTR
    • CPC
    • CVR
    • Advertising-attributed sales
  • Continuously optimise campaigns to improve profitability and advertising efficiency.
  • Develop promotional strategies using appropriate Amazon tools and programmes, including coupons, deals, promotions and Amazon Vine, where applicable.
  • Support relevant external traffic and off-Amazon promotional activities where commercially appropriate.

3. Inventory, FBA & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Develop inventory forecasts and replenishment plans based on sales trends, seasonality, lead times and promotional activity.
  • Monitor inventory levels, sell-through rates and inventory turnover.
  • Minimise the commercial risks associated with:
    • Stockouts
    • Excess inventory
    • Slow-moving stock
    • Long-term storage
  • Coordinate closely with sourcing, procurement, logistics and supply chain teams regarding production, shipment and replenishment schedules.
  • Manage Amazon FBA operations, including:
    • Creating shipment plans
    • Monitoring inbound inventory
    • Tracking receiving discrepancies
    • Managing stranded inventory
    • Investigating lost or damaged FBA inventory
    • Raising and following up reimbursement or inventory cases where appropriate
  • Monitor key fulfilment and logistics costs, including freight, first-mile costs, FBA fulfilment fees and storage charges.
  • Support international inventory planning across US and European fulfilment networks.

4. Commercial & Profitability Management

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the commercial performance of each product and marketplace.
  • Monitor revenue, advertising expenditure, Amazon fees, logistics costs and other major cost components.
  • Analyse product-level and marketplace-level profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contribution margin and overall commercial performance.
  • Balance revenue growth with sustainable profitability rather than focusing solely on sales volume.
  • Support management with forecasting, budgeting and commercial performance reporting.

5. Data Analysis & Business Insights

  • Use Amazon Seller Central reports and analytical tools to monitor daily and long-term business performance.
  • Utilise relevant Amazon tools and data sources, including:
    • Business Reports
    • Brand Analytics
    • Search Query Performance
    • Product Opportunity Explorer
    • Advertising reports
    • Inventory reports
  • Prepare clear weekly and monthly performance reports covering:
    • Sales
    • Traffic
    • Conversion
    • Advertising
    • Inventory
    • Profitability
    • Marketplace performance
  • Identify performance issues, determine their underlying causes and recommend practical corrective actions.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, reviews, rankings, promotions and category developments.
  • Translate marketplace data into actionable commercial recommendations for management.

6. New Product Development & Market Research

  • Support the identification and evaluation of new Amazon product opportunities.
  • Conduct market, category, keyword and competitor research.
  • Assess:
    • Market demand
    • Search volumes and trends
    • Competitive intensity
    • Pricing
    • Customer reviews and pain points
    • Product differentiation opportunities
    • Potential commercial viability
  • Provide data and marketplace insights to support sourcing and new product development decisions.
  • Work with sourcing and product teams to optimise products based on customer feedback and market requirements.
  • Support new product launches from initial research through listing creation, advertising, inventory planning and post-launch optimisation.

7. Account Health, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Maintain strong Amazon account health across all assigned marketplaces.
  • Monitor relevant Amazon performance and compliance indicators.
  • Ensure products, listings and operational practices comply with Amazon policies.
  • Identify potential account, listing or product risks and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Manage or support the resolution of:
    • Customer complaints
    • Negative customer feedback
    • A-to-Z Guarantee claims
    • Listing suppressions
    • Product compliance issues
    • Intellectual property complaints
    • Account health notifications
    • FBA and inventory disputes
  • Coordinate internally where legal, product compliance, sourcing or documentation support is required.
  • Maintain appropriate records and documentation relating to Amazon cases and compliance matters.

8. International Marketplace Operations

  • Manage cross-border Amazon operations with an initial focus on the United States and European markets.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of European Amazon marketplaces and their operational requirements.
  • Coordinate international inventory and fulfilment requirements with internal supply chain teams.
  • Support marketplace expansion and localisation where commercially appropriate.
  • Monitor differences in customer behaviour, competition, pricing and product performance between markets.

Candidate Requirements Essential Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Amazon marketplace operations experience.
  • Proven experience independently managing a complete Amazon product line, category or brand store.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and its core operational functions.
  • Demonstrable experience managing Amazon PPC campaigns across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display.
  • Strong experience with Amazon listing optimisation, SEO, keyword research and conversion optimisation.
  • Experience with Amazon FBA, inventory planning and replenishment.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting Amazon sales, advertising and operational data.
  • Experience managing Amazon operations within European marketplaces.
  • Experience supporting new product development, product launches and market research.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon marketplace policies, account health and compliance requirements.

Commercial Track Record

Candidates should be able to discuss and, where appropriate, provide examples of previous marketplace performance, such as:
