Position Overview
- Exceed annual sales targets by securing new business in the retail, wholesale, and industrial sectors.
- Execute sales strategies, prioritizing quick wins through your network of distributors, agents, and wholesalers.
- Drive new client acquisition with a focus on high conversion rates (30%+ on qualified inquiries).
- Attend trade shows, events, and client meetings to build ET2C’s presence and close deals.
- Conduct market research to align ET2C’s Asia-based sourcing solutions with client needs.
Key Responsibilities
Create and execute the annual sourcing budget plan, aligned with KPIs.
Deliver reductions in cost of goods sold while increasing supplier income through effective negotiation.
Analyze supplier performance, costs, and supply chain efficiency to support data-driven sourcing decisions.
Independently manage seasonal and party product categories, focusing on the New Zealand market.
Select and develop profitable new lines with strong performance metrics.
Build and maintain a database of trusted and legally compliant suppliers for seasonal production.
Drive supplier relationship management and lead price and terms negotiations.
Constantly source new and alternative vendors to maintain supply flexibility and risk mitigation.
Collaborate with inter-company departments and factory teams for smooth follow-up and issue resolution.
Work closely with the QA team and suppliers to improve product quality.
Ensure all sourced products comply with UK, NZ, and EU standards, including testing (preferably familiar with hardline requirements).
Commit to ethical sourcing practices, offering only qualified products to buying teams.
Oversee seasonal development tracking, sample status, and ensure timely approvals and deliveries.
Lead innovative range planning strategies to keep offerings fresh and aligned with market trends.
Client Relations
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring repeat business and incremental revenue growth, aiming for a 20% revenue increase.
- Proactively identify upselling opportunities (e.g., new product lines, value-added services) within the current client portfolio.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering proposals, account reviews, and regular updates.
Client Relations
- Work closely with ET2C’s global teams (e.g., China, UK) to align client needs with sourcing strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Existing network in Mexican retail/wholesale sectors (Home & Kitchen, Furniture, Industrial, etc.) with connections that can be activated for ET2C.
- 7+ years in international trade/sourcing, with a proven track record of sales achievement.
- Strong knowledge of Asian sourcing markets (China, Vietnam, India, Turkey, and others).
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
- Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally to Asia.
