General Overview
Talking Tables is looking for an experienced and detail-driven Product Compliance & Quality Specialist to lead product testing, regulatory compliance, and supplier quality control. Primary Responsibilities

Oversee global product testing and compliance in partnership with suppliers.

Coordinate directly with third-party testing partners for regulatory approvals.

Track, analyze, and share test results internally.

Ensure compliance with indoor fireworks regulations.

Conduct in-house tests (e.g., candle burn tests).

Review product packaging to ensure it meets UK/EU/US regulatory standards.

Generate and manage compliance documentation (e.g., FSC certificates).

Support EUDR data collection and assist suppliers with regulatory reporting.

Maintain clear, organized internal technical files.

Assist in implementing new compliance processes.

Submit reports to third-party bodies (e.g., Plastic Waste Directive).

Stay up to date with new global compliance laws and guidelines.

Educate internal teams on upcoming regulatory changes.

Update customer and internal portals with testing and compliance documents.

Conduct thorough risk assessments on product lines.

Flag product risks during development to the UK Product Development team.

Review samples for quality issues; liaise with customer service on complaints.

Participate in supplier audits and manage corrective action plans.

Visit supplier sites to ensure they meet Talking Tables’ quality standards.

Assist in on-site product quality checks.

Ensure all compliance data is correctly uploaded to customer platforms.
Skills & Qualifications
2–3 years’ experience in QA and QC roles, ideally in a sourcing office.
Background with high-risk products (food contact, toys, fireworks).
Familiar with UK, EU, and US regulations (EUDR, GPSRs, etc.).
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Experience working with major UK retailers.
Familiar with compliance software and portals; highly organized and accurate.
Experience as an auditor or with auditing processes (preferred, not required).
