Junior Merchandiser - China

Position Overview

As a Buyer at ET2C International, you will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, coordinating orders, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. Working closely with the Senior Merchandiser, Quality, and Logistics teams, you will oversee the entire sourcing and order process — from supplier selection and price negotiation to shipment coordination. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global sourcing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Order & Vendor Management

  • Work closely with the Senior Merchandiser to manage all orders and vendor relationships.

  • Collaborate with the Quality Supervisor and suppliers to ensure products meet required quality standards.

  • Coordinate with Logistics Service Providers to guarantee on-time delivery of all shipments.

  • Oversee the full order process from initiation to completion, handling any issues or emergencies that arise between the company and suppliers.

Enquiry & Sourcing Management

  • Receive, review, and analyze all new product enquiries.
  • Identify capable suppliers and verify all technical details, including material specifications, production processes, and inspection requirements.
  • Conduct periodic analysis of vendors and quotations to determine the most suitable suppliers for hardgoods and other product categories.
  • Negotiate pricing and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive and timely responses to clients.
  • Continuously source and recommend new products aligned with current market trends and company direction.

 

Data & Administration

  • Accurately input and maintain relevant data in the company system in a timely manner.
  • Support the Senior Merchandiser with additional tasks as required.
  • Participate in trade fairs, including the Canton Fair, to identify potential suppliers and new product opportunities.

Skills & Requirements

  • Manage and maintain relationships with assigned vendors as delegated by the Senior Merchandiser; conduct supplier visits where needed to ensure smooth collaboration.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the full order process — from supplier qualification (online or at trade shows) through to final shipment and documentation coordination.

  • Build and maintain long-term, productive relationships with both current and potential suppliers.

  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, effective multitasking, and strong organizational skills, ensuring that all daily activities are recorded and tracked accurately.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP or order management systems preferred.

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) required; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
