Job Overview
We are seeking a technically skilled professional with 3+ years’ experience in engineering or industrial components. The role involves managing client inquiries, sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, overseeing orders, and ensuring technical accuracy and quality. Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and English is required. Must be detail-oriented, communicative, and willing to travel.
Enquiry Management
Review and assess all new client and sales inquiries, focusing on technical specifications and project requirements.
Identify and evaluate qualified suppliers for industrial components, verifying material specs, production processes, and inspection standards.
Negotiate and compare supplier pricing to ensure timely, accurate quotations that meet client expectations.
Continuously source and recommend industrial products and solutions aligned with market trends and project needs.
Organize technical visits for clients, preparing all necessary information and materials to support effective discussions.
Order Management
Manage end-to-end order fulfillment, from initial confirmation to final delivery, swiftly addressing any issues or emergencies between clients and suppliers.
Coordinate with internal QA/QC teams and suppliers to ensure product quality aligns with industry standards, client expectations, and technical specifications.
Liaise with Purchasing and Logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery, mitigating delays and optimizing supply chain performance.
Other Tasks
Accurately input and maintain project data in the SAP system, ensuring timely updates for seamless workflow and reporting.
Act as a liaison between clients and suppliers, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication on technical specifications and requirements.
Deliver value-added services by providing prompt, professional technical support and actionable insights to clients.
Support departmental objectives by taking on additional responsibilities as assigned by the department manager to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
Job requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field, with a solid understanding of industrial processes and product standards.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, preferably within industrial components, manufacturing, or engineering project environments.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of hardware products, hand tools, power tools, and technical items used in industrial applications.
Work Ethic: Highly responsible, self-motivated, and quality-driven with a strong commitment to technical precision and client satisfaction.
Compliance: Demonstrates strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Communication: Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and build trust.
Analytical Skills: Excellent observation, problem-solving, and analytical thinking abilities.
Software Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiar with engineering drawing tools.
ERP Systems: Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
Language: Good command of both written and spoken English (Intermediate+ level).
Travel: Willingness to travel to client or supplier sites as required.
