HR Manager - Shanghai

Overview

The HR Manager will act as a strategic partner to support business goals by effectively managing HR functions. This role ensures the successful implementation of HR services, including Recruitment, Training & Development, Performance Management, and Employee Relations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Develop and implement recruitment policies, processes, and strategies to attract top talent.
  • Review and improve HR processes, including recruitment, salary structures, promotion policies, onboarding, and employment contracts.
  • Enhance the onboarding process to ensure a structured one-week training and induction program for new employees.

2. Employee Development & Retention

  • Develop and implement people development plans and learning programs to improve employee retention.
  • Design competitive compensation and benefits (C&B) strategies and incentive schemes to attract and retain talent.
  • Conduct performance management by coaching, addressing performance issues, employee development, and succession planning.
  • Implement periodic reviews for long-term employees to increase engagement and contribution to company goals.

3. Employee Engagement & Company Culture

  • Plan and execute company-wide training programs, particularly for managers.
  • Develop a six-month plan for company events (e.g., bowling, karaoke, team-building activities) to enhance employee engagement.
  • Promote a positive company culture by fostering strong inter-departmental relationships.

4. Performance Management & Compliance

  • Review and update Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and establish a quarterly review process for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, HR policies, and company regulations, adapting to changes as needed.
  • Maintain HR records to support audits and compliance requirements.
  • Provide feedback-driven improvements for HR processes and policies.

5. Strategic HR Initiatives

  • Lead the ISO project within the company.
  • Continuously seek feedback to enhance HR services and align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Contribute to enterprise culture development and employee engagement strategies.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned by the HR Director.

Job Requirements

  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Problem-solving ability to analyze complex challenges and develop solutions.
  • Relationship management skills to build effective working relationships across teams.
  • Coaching and advisory experience to support managers on employee relations issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel & PowerPoint preferred).
  • Project management experience in HR-related initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
