Coolants engineered to stop corrosion, not just carry heat.

ET2C International supplies the ET- range of secondary refrigerants and heat-transfer fluids formulated for pharmaceutical, food, cold storage, data centre and industrial systems that can’t afford unplanned downtime.

Our ET- heat-transfer fluid chemistry is protected by a family of national invention patents, with the original formulation filed in 2002 thats over two decades of continuous protection covering the base formulation, wide-temperature bi-directional operation (a single fluid for both heating and cooling), and specialist low-toxicity variants. This sustained IP protection reflects deep, ongoing R&D investment into our unique coolant range.

Why ET2C

ET2C International is a British-owned company and the exclusive international commercial and export partner for the ET- coolant range. The products are manufactured at a single dedicated facility in China with a 20+ year production track record, holding ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 certification. British ownership. China-manufactured. Globally supplied.

The results

Near-zero corrosion

Corrosion rates measured at up to 278 times below Chinese national standard limits. Independently tested by IMR-CAS (Institute of Metals Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences), a CNAS-accredited and ILAC-MRA accredited laboratory. Results recognised as internationally equivalent by accreditation bodies in Australia, India, the UK, EU member states, and the United States

8–10+ year equipment life

versus 3–4 years for commodity glycol, avoiding the corrosion that eats through pipes and heat exchangers.

Lower environmental impact

indirect systems reduce primary refrigerant inventory and the hazardous waste from frequent fluid disposal.

Non-flammable options available

for high-safety environments
(ET-8 series).

Better thermal performance than glycol

Engineered for consistent heat transfer across a wide operating range.

One fluid, −110°C to +340°C

across the ET- product family, grade-dependent.

Single-fluid system design

One fluid, both directions: heating and cooling across −50°C to +120°C in the same loop, replacing separate brine-and-steam arrangements and removing cross-contamination risk.

Significant long-term cost savings

fewer fluid replacements, fewer repairs,
less downtime.

Trusted by a range of client industries

Clients span pharmaceutical API production, specialty and fine chemicals, food cold storage and logistics, beverage manufacturing, professional winter sports facilities, and data center cooling. They include publicly listed companies, Fortune 500 suppliers, and operators exporting to regulated markets across more than 30 countries. The Chinese Academy of Sciences, which independently validated the ET- range's corrosion performance, also uses the product in its own facilities, a relationship that reflects both the scientific credibility and the practical reliability of the range. System deployments range from single-reactor pharmaceutical plants to 40,000-tonne cold storage facilities.

Total cost of ownership

The fluid is the cheapest part of the bill

A coolant gets judged on the price of the drum. The real savings show up later in
maintenance, repairs and replacement avoided over the life of the system.
Maintenance
Fewer interventions
No acid washes or annual flushes — just a periodic pH and inhibitor-reserve check.
Repairs
No corrosion, no repair bill
Pump seals, heat exchangers and pipework stop being a recurring repair line item.
Replacement
One fill, not four
8 to 10 years in the loop versus 3 to 4 for commodity glycol — fewer changeouts, fewer call-outs.
Downtime
The line stays running
Every flush or repair takes the system offline. Removing the cause removes the stoppage.

Where it’s used

Six verticals, one engineered fluid family

Pharmaceutical and API manufacturing is our priority segment, followed by food & beverage, cold storage, industrial manufacturing, data centres and HVAC / district cooling.

01
Pharmaceutical & API
Single-fluid reactor heating and cooling without brine/steam cross-contamination risk.
02
Food & Beverage
Food-grade raw materials for processing lines with incidental product-contact risk.
03
Cold Storage & Logistics
Corrosion-free secondary loops for blast-freeze and cold-room refrigeration.
04
Data Centres & BESS
Cold-plate and immersion cooling for battery storage and high-density compute.
05
Industrial Manufacturing
Process cooling and heating across mixed-metal systems in chemical and general industry.
06
HVAC & District Cooling
Long-life chilled-water loops and free-cooling circuits for commercial buildings.

Pharmaceutical

API plant brine/steam system replaced

Severe corrosion of reactors, heat exchangers and pipelines from a brine/water/steam system led to a full system replacement and the loss of a batch of pharmaceutical intermediates. After refilling with ET-4, the corrosion issue was resolved and the system has run without corrosion since.

Glycol Conversion

500-tonne glycol system converted to ET-4

A glycol solution operating at −20 to 100°C suffered severe high-temperature corrosion within three months. Replaced with 50% ET-4 across a 500-tonne system, it has run without corrosion since the change.

Cold Storage

40,000-tonne facility, indirect system

A 40,000-tonne cold-storage facility uses an integrated primary refrigerant plus ET-4 secondary loop. The indirect design is safer and more environmentally friendly, and corrosion has been eliminated.
