Applications
Built for the systems that can't afford to stop.
Every vertical below shares the same problem: a fluid loop that corrodes, fails or under-performs costs far more in downtime and replacement than the fluid itself. Here’s how the ET- range applies to each.
Priority segment
Pharmaceutical & API manufacturing
Reactors and heat exchangers on brine-and-steam systems are especially vulnerable to corrosion, and a failure mid-batch can mean the loss of pharmaceutical intermediates as well as unplanned system replacement. A single ET-4 fluid can carry heat in both directions across the same loop, removing the cross-contamination risk of running separate heating and cooling media and protecting stainless steel, carbon steel and copper throughout.
Food-grade duty
Food & beverage processing
Processing lines and cold rooms with any risk of incidental product contact call for a food-grade fluid rather than a standard industrial grade. ET-4A is manufactured with food-grade raw materials for exactly this duty, while standard ET-4 continues to serve utility loops with no product-contact risk in the same facility.
Always-on infrastructure
Cold storage & logistics
Cold stores and distribution warehouses run continuously, which makes fluid-driven corrosion and the maintenance shutdowns it forces especially costly. An indirect secondary loop using ET-4 (or ET-4A where food contact is a factor) keeps the primary refrigerant contained while protecting the pipework and heat exchangers that carry the load day after day.
Emerging vertical
Data centres & battery energy storage
Liquid cooling is becoming the default for high-density compute and BESS thermal management. Cold-plate designs favour ET-4D and ET-4D-YE for their low electrical conductivity, while full immersion cooling calls for a dielectric fluid: ET-14 (fluorinated, sub-1.1 PUE in immersion deployments) or ET-17 (hydrocarbon-based) depending on the operating temperature and material compatibility required.
Mixed-metal process duty
Industrial manufacturing
Chemical and general manufacturing sites often run mixed-metal systems across a wide range of process temperatures. ET-8’s non-flammable, no-flash-point profile suits duty where fire risk near heat-transfer equipment is a concern, while ET-16C’s single-fluid design covers heating and cooling from −30°C up to +340°C without switching media.
Long-life comfort cooling
HVAC & district cooling
Chilled-water loops and free-cooling circuits in commercial buildings and district systems are rarely taken offline for maintenance. ET-4’s extended service life means fewer fluid replacements and less disruption to building operations over the life of the system.
