General Overview

We are seeking an experienced Enquiry & Order Management Specialist with a strong engineering background to handle technical client inquiries, source suitable industrial suppliers, and manage orders from initiation to delivery. The role involves analyzing project specs, negotiating prices, ensuring quality with QA/QC teams, and coordinating logistics. Candidates should have 3+ years’ experience in industrial components, proficiency in MS Office and SAP, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. A degree in engineering, willingness to travel, and commitment to technical excellence and teamwork are essential.

Enquiry Management

  • Receive and analyze all new inquiries from clients or sales, with a focus on technical specifications and project requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate capable suppliers with expertise in industrial components; confirm material specifications, technical processes, and inspection requirements based on engineering standards.
  • Negotiate and compare prices from various suppliers, ensuring timely quotations aligned with client requirements and technical specifications.
  • Constantly source and propose relevant industrial products and solutions based on current industry trends, client needs, and project specifications.
  • Organize and prepare technical trips for client visits, ensuring all relevant information and resources are available to facilitate discussions.

Order Management

  • Oversee and manage orders from inception to completion, addressing emergencies that arise between clients and suppliers.
  • Collaborate closely with internal QA/QC teams and suppliers to ensure that product quality meets industry standards and technical specifications.
  • Work alongside the Purchase and Logistics departments to guarantee timely delivery of products.

Other Tasks

  • Input relevant data into the SAP system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and suppliers to manage expectations effectively, focusing on technical aspects and ensuring clarity in specifications.
  • Provide value-added services to clients by delivering technical support and insights efficiently and professionally.
  • Undertake additional tasks assigned by the department manager to support project execution and client satisfaction.

Job requirements

  • Input relevant data into the SAP system accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Industry: Engineering / Manufacturing / Industrial
  • Language: English (Intermediate+)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field, demonstrating a solid understanding of industrial processes and products.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role with a strong background in industrial components, engineering projects, or manufacturing environments.
  • Extensive product knowledge of hardware products, hand tools, power tools, and other technical items related to industrial applications.
  • High sense of responsibility and self-motivation, with a focus on technical excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Strict adherence to the company’s rules and regulations.
  • Engaging and influential communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with drawings tools.
  • A responsible approach towards work, maintaining clear and friendly communication with colleagues and management.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Good command of written and oral English.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to engage with clients and suppliers on-site.
